Protection of horses when travelling:
A maximum degree of protection for horses when they are being transported is essential. It follows that a sturdy fabric is required for the manufacture
of transport rugs. Even so, it should be light and allow air through to prevent a “sauna effect” in the transporter during longer journeys in warm temperatures.
Matching travelling gaiters are an attractive complement to the blanket – these must protect the legs, especially from horse shoes. A matching tail
protector is also attractive.
The robust polypropylene fabrics from IBENA PolyLine are able to match these requirements. They are available in canvas-look, in smooth or in Rippstop texture and are used as outer material for rugs – quilted with a soft Molton material or fleece, or for matching gaiters lined with thick artificial fur and possibly with Molton material.
