In the manufacture of horse rugs the use of high quality materials plays an important role.
Materials have to be robust, visually appealing and,at the same time, they have to let air through and also possess easy-care qualities.
Furthermore, the manufacture of horse rugs is carried out under the widest possible aspects. They must keep the horse warm (thermal rugs or turnout rugs), or prevent a too-rapid cooling (sweat rugs or coolers), during travelling they must protect from injuries and draughts (travelling rugs), out of doors or in an open stable give protection from rain and
inclement weather (for example, grazing or temporary “in-between” rugs) or even serve as an advertising medium at tournaments (tournament or parade rugs).

IBENA HorseTex, a specialized department of a German weaving mill, specializes in fabrics intended for the production of horse rugs – fabrics
which combine optimum functional qualities with an attractive appearance. IBENA HorseTex supplies to textile manufacturers of horse rugs as well as to the wholesale trade.
Alongside the standard products of IBENA PolyLine and IBENA Sweat Series which are presented here, IBENA HorseTex develops individual and exclusive customer designs for leading manufacturers of riding gear.
